• Budaya Kota Malang

Kekayaan etnis dan budaya yang di miliki kota malang, telah banyak di kenal di seluruh pelosok nusantara bahkan dunia internasional. kekayaan kota malang berpengaruh terhadap kesenian tradisional yang ada, Salah satu yang terkenal adalah Wayang Topeng Malangan (Topeng Malang). Gaya kesenian ini adalah wujud pertemuan tiga budaya, (Jawa Tengahan, Madura, dan Tengger), hal ini di karenakan malang memiliki 3 sub-kultur, yaitu :

*Sub-kultur Budaya Jawa Tengah, yang hidup di lereng Gunung Kawi.

*Sub-kultur Budaya Madura, yang hidup di lereng Gunung Arjuna.

*Sub-kultur Budaya Tengger, sisa Budaya Majapahit yang hidup di Gunung Bromo – Semeru.

• Ciri Khas Kota Malang

Etnik masyarakat malang terkenal Religius, Dinamis, Bekerja Keras, Lugas, dan bangga terhadap identitasnya sebagai arek malang (AREMA) serta menjunjung tinggi kebersamaan dan setia kepada kota malang.  Orang malang yang asli malang, pasti sudah sangat familiar atau mengenal dengan boso walikan (bahan kebalikan) yang sering di gunakan, antara lain :

-Ker (Rek)

-Sam (Mas)

-Ngalam (Malang)

-Nakam (Makan)

-Libom (Mobil)

-Ongis Nade (Singo Edan), dll.

• Makanan Khas Kota Malang

*Makanan khas kota malang yang pernah saya jumpai atau saya makan, ialah :

1. Toko Oen (Lokasi : Samping Gramedia, arah alun2 kota malang)

Yang terkenal di toko oen ini adalah Ice Creamnya, yang kita ketahui banyak banget di kota malang ini yang jual ice cream, akan tetapi di toko oen ini, ice creamnya sangat berbada, ntah dari Rasanya, ataupun teksturnya sangat berbeda dengan ice cream lainnya.

2. Depot Soto Ayam Lombok (Lokasi : Sawahan)

Soto ayam ini banyak banget masyarakat yang mengenal makanan ini,  makanan berkuah kuning kadang bening, tapi di Soto Ayam Lombok ini cara penyajiannya sama saja, akan tetapi kuah yg terlihat beda, karena kuahnya agak kental dan berkeruh. itu yang jadi ciri khas saat ini.

3. Warung Lama Hj Ridwan (Lokasi : Pasar Besar Lt. 1 Malang)

Nah kalau ini makanannya agak berat, tetapi warung makanan ini lengkap dan enak semenjak pemiliknya belum meninggal, di karenakan masih memakai resep asli bu haja nya yang meracik sendiri, dan contoh dari makanan ini adalah nasi campurnya. walaupun tampilang sangat sederhana (nasi putih, dberi kering tempe, mie sayur, rendang daging, telor bali, sambal0 tapi amat sangat nikmat bila di santap.

4. Camilan Kripik Tempe (Lokasi : Jl. Sanan Malang)

Pusat Kripik Tempe ini ada di jalan sanan kota malang, Pusat kripik tempe ini adalah Home Indutri, yang menampilkan tidak hanya kripik tempe saja melainkan banyak kripik, yaitu kripik buah-buahan. yang sering saya makan sambil ngerjakan tugas aatau main game yaitu kripik Salak, Kripik Rambutan, Kripik Semangka, dan Kripik Nangka. Pusat Oleh-Plehnya hanya ada di Lancar Jaya, karena banyak artis juga yang kesana… dan sering ketemu.
